Overseeing the architecture for current and future enterprise voice, data, and video network systems while researching and recommending solutions for secure and stable networks, the Telecommunications Network Architect will integrate new products into the existing network and back-office systems. Consistent collaboration with other departments for the provision of relevant products responsive to customers' needs and market trends.Responsibilities:Analyze, develop, and engineer an assigned product from conceptual stages through product implementation to meet corporate growth objectives.Serves as technical lead for carrier products and technical consultant for enterprise products and solutions.Provide technical expertise and support for complementary third-party products to broaden company product line and meet corporate growth objectives.Provide product documentation to assist in the creation of product training material for the organization and participate in training as appropriate.Assist in the preparation of RFP's, designing cost-effective solutions plus solving configuration challenges through the standard or Individual Case Basis (ICB) processOversee and execute planned network maintenance work, minimizing impact to servicesQualifications:Minimum of 5+ years of relevant network operations and engineering, including LAN and WAN connection requirements and UNIX, Linux, and Microsoft operating systemsSound knowledge in Voice and VoIP network, such as MetaswitchUnderstanding and ability to implement video systems, such as digital content multiplexers, receivers, VOD, SDV, conditional access, QAM’s, and multicast distribution.Understanding and ability to implement distribution networks: FTTH (PON, XGS-PON, NG-PON2) AND ADSL, VDSL, and g.FAST copper Understanding and ability to implement transmission networks: DWDM (10,100,500Gig) Understanding and ability to implement Carrier Ethernet transport and IP (1,10,100G) networks
