SUMMARY Responsible for performing the repair, testing, troubleshooting, programming, monitoring, installation, and maintenance of building automation systems (BAS). Assist HVAC team with technical support and troubleshooting of DDC and mechanical systems. Monitor facilities to ensure correct operation and energy utilization standards are met. JOB TASK DESCRIPTIONS Assist in installing, testing, and programming, monitoring, troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing building automation systems district-wide. Assist HVAC technicians with troubleshooting and provide technical support to maintenance personnel. Programming and optimization of district BAS. Enhance automated equipment operations and program equipment run times; perform system programming and integration with automated systems. Calibrate Energy Management System (EMS) and implement set point changes to maintain acceptable standard environmental conditions. Maintain records of all district control systems and associated programs. Assist in creation or updating BAS graphical interfaces. Conduct historical trend data analysis and provide dashboards based on future district BAS needs. Project support tasks including drawing and submittal review, design meetings, punch walks and trade related commissioning. Support programs utilizing the BAS to maximum energy efficiency and indoor air quality. Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and repair deficiencies. Respond to building emergencies. Perform other job-related duties as assigned. EDUCATION AND RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE High school diploma or equivalent Specialized technical training in BAS or DDC systems. Tridium experience preferred. Three years of experience in HVAC systems, building control systems, construction, building maintenance preferred. Equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable. LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS or CERTIFICATIONS Criminal background check required for hire. Ability to successfully complete a pre-hire, post-offer physical examination. A copy of an individual Motor Vehicle Record must be submitted at time of application. Manufacturer training in district's BAS within 1 year. SALARY INFORMATION All Classified positions are paid on anhourlybasis. All Newly hired classified employees are placed initially on Step 1 of the pay grade for their position. Classified employees can advance an additional 7 steps (maximum Step 8) based on their previous experience. Final hourly placement on the Classified Salary schedule is dependent on the Grade Level for the position being posted and employees' previous work experience.
