The role:Working for a leading aerospace company, you'll be working our of their lab near Edinburgh on a rolling shift basis. Performing functional testing, tuning and diagnostics of products, as well as diagnostics at component level for both prime products and repairs. You'll also be required to keep accurate test records, carry out any maintenance tasks and aid other disciplines to improve overall cost and quality of product.Perform functional testing of electronic assemblies to required contractual, quality and schedule requirementsDiagnose boards/units down to component level on failing products and recommend appropriate corrective actions.Diagnose test equipment related faultsExecution of preventative maintenance and calibration plans for test equipmentRecord accurate test records and provide requested yield & failure reportsAid the continual improvement of efficiency in designated test area(s)Your skills/Experience:Minimum of HNC in electronics and/or experience with testing and diagnostics of complex electronics products down to component levelTuning of circuitry to achieve performance specificationProven ability to set up and utilise various types of lab equipment (including complex instrumentation) for manual production test & debug purposes.Has a good understanding of electronics (including theoretical and practical knowledge of circuitry), able to interpret circuit diagrams and can communicate circuit functionality effectively.Can interpret test specifications to carry out manual production test requirements & debug.Desirable skills/experience:Understanding principles & controls required when working with RF circuitry (highly desirable)Experience and knowledge of various ATE’s (automated test equipment)What’s on offer:Competitive salaryRelocation Assistance (if relocating to Fife)25 days holiday + statutory public holidays, plus opportunity to buy and sell up to 5 days (37hr)Contributory Pension Scheme (up to 10.5% company contribution)Company bonus scheme (discretionary).6 times salary ‘Life Assurance’ with pension.Flexible Benefits scheme with extensive salary sacrifice schemes, including Health Cashplan, Dental, and Cycle to Work amongst others.Roles are onsite, working out of the laboratory on a 3x 12hr shift cycle covering days and nights.
