Job Description:
The Test Engineer will be responsible for compiling, researching, analyzing, and documenting data, requirements, workflows, processes, functionality, and controls for the respective ISD group. This role involves developing and evaluating information and preparing recommendations based on analysis to support decision-making processes. The candidate will handle complex, high-impact projects and serve as a technical specialist or advisor within the team.
Key Responsibilities:
The Test Engineer will be responsible for compiling, researching, analyzing, and documenting data, requirements, workflows, processes, functionality, and controls for the respective ISD group. This role involves developing and evaluating information and preparing recommendations based on analysis to support decision-making processes. The candidate will handle complex, high-impact projects and serve as a technical specialist or advisor within the team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Test APIs (frontend and backend) using RESTful APIs.
- Utilize Postman and SoapUI extensively for API testing.
- Create, update, and maintain test plans and test cases.
- Write and execute test scripts using BDD (Gherkin language).
- Validate APIs and database elements using JSON/XML structures and SQL queries.
- Conduct test case reviews and enforce best testing practices.
- Participate in defect triage, prioritization, and troubleshooting.
- Communicate testing progress, results, and relevant updates to stakeholders.
- Work within work management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Asana, or MS Project.
- Apply knowledge of CI/CD practices to support testing activities.
Required Skills:
- Experience in API testing and using API testing tools like Postman and SoapUI.
- Strong understanding of test planning, execution, and defect tracking.
- Proficiency in SQL for database validations.
- Knowledge of JSON and XML structures.
- Ability to manage multiple testing campaigns simultaneously.
- Excellent time management, planning, and multi-tasking skills.
Desired Skills:
- Experience with API and microservices testing using techniques like JUnit.
- Knowledge of API automated testing frameworks (e.g., UFT, Selenium, Cucumber, IntelliJ, Java).
- Familiarity with Splunk for querying and analysis.
