TEST ENGINEER - WEST FLANDERS (BELGIUM) - PERMANENT POSITIONWe're currently recruiting a Test Engineer to play a pivotal role in bringing high-quality, reliable products to market. In this position, you will act as a key technical resource within the product development lifecycle, ensuring that each product meets strict safety, durability, and performance standards. You will be involved from the early stages of design through to final validation, working closely with cross-functional teams including design, engineering, production, and quality assurance.This role combines hands-on testing with strategic oversight, requiring you to plan and execute thorough evaluations, interpret complex data, and provide actionable recommendations. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining test methodologies, coordinating with external laboratories when needed, and ensuring that all testing processes comply with regulatory requirements and internal standards. Your work will directly influence product improvements, reduce the risk of defects, and help deliver products that exceed customer expectations.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, refine, and standardize testing procedures for new and existing products to ensure consistency and reliability.Execute technical and physical tests, evaluating products against regulatory, safety, and internal performance standards.Analyze testing results, identify potential improvements, and provide practical recommendations to development teams.Collaborate closely with engineers to troubleshoot issues, validate solutions, and enhance product functionality.Coordinate testing activities across projects, ensuring timelines are met and documentation is thorough and accurate.Manage interactions with external laboratories or testing partners, overseeing quality, schedules, and compliance.Maintain detailed records of test plans, procedures, and outcomes, contributing to ongoing process improvement.Lead or support initiatives aimed at enhancing testing methodologies, efficiency, and equipment utilization.Qualifications & SkillsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, or a related technical field.Strong problem-solving abilities, practical mindset, and hands-on technical skills.Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications accurately.Effective written and verbal communication skills, especially in technical documentation and reporting.Experience with laboratory testing, measurement tools, or product validation is an advantage.Familiarity with CAD software or simulation tools is a plus.Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple testing tasks independently.The Offer:A permanent, full-time employment contractA salary & benefits package commensurate with experiencePlease send over your CV to or call me on +32 (0) 3 318 00 74.
