Global aerospace and military corporation is looking to identify and hire a Senior Test Engineer & Supervisor for a critical leadership role within the Vertical Launching System (VLS) Program. This position focuses on leading test efforts for wire harness and Line Replaceable Unit (LRU) systems, including operating and managing Automated Test Equipment (ATE) and vibration testing. The Senior Test Engineer/Supervisor will troubleshoot systems, ensure compliance with production schedules, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products.*No Relocation Offered*The Senior Test Engineer & Supervisor will be responsible for but not limited to:Leading and overseeing the testing processes for wire harnesses and LRUs, ensuring all systems meet stringent aerospace and military standards.Operating and managing Automated Test Equipment (ATE) to verify system performance and functionality.Planning and conducting vibration testing to validate the durability and reliability of components.Diagnosing and resolving technical issues with wire harness and LRU systems during testing.Ensuring all testing aligns with IPC 610/620, J-STD 001 standards, and other relevant industry requirements.Maintaining detailed records of test results and implementing corrective actions as needed.Collaborating with production, engineering, and quality teams to align testing activities with production schedules.Monitoring testing progress and addressing any deviations to ensure on-time delivery of products.Identifying inefficiencies in testing workflows and implementing improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency.Developing and maintaining comprehensive testing procedures and documentation.Promoting best practices and continuous process improvement within the testing team.Supervising and mentoring a team of test technicians and engineers.Providing training and technical guidance to ensure team proficiency and adherence to best practices.Fostering collaboration with design, production, and quality teams to optimize overall system performance.Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.5+ years of experience in wire harness and LRU testing, including experience with ATE and vibration testing.Proven ability to troubleshoot complex electrical and mechanical systems.Strong knowledge of IPC 610/620, J-STD 001 standards, and other relevant testing protocols.Familiarity with production scheduling and the ability to prioritize testing activities effectively.Experience in aerospace or defense testing environments. Certification in Lean Six Sigma or equivalent process improvement methodologies. Proficiency with testing software and data acquisition systems.Hands-on experience with advanced diagnostic tools and equipment.Due to ITAR requirements, this position requires US Citizenship.
