Summary:
-
Retrieve and interpret drawings, specifications, documents, and sketches using online computing systems.
-
Perform system installation measurements using general test equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, power supplies, and meters) and troubleshoot when measurements fall outside specifications.

Install, remove, or modify experimental/production aircraft wiring using mechanical and electrical hand tools to meet engineering specifications, non-conformance reports, and Boeing standards.

Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults as required.
-
Assist in developing methods and procedures to diagnose and correct malfunctions when established procedures do not exist.

Support troubleshooting of electrical functional test failures in production and factory environments.
Requirements:
-
Ability to obtain security clearance
-
Associate's Degree (AA) in a related discipline
-
Strong electrical/electronic background
-
Ability to calculate series and parallel resistor networks to determine cable shield net resistance
-
Knowledge of airplane wiring and shielding
-
Strong understanding of basic electrical principles (Ohm's Law, series and parallel resistance, Faraday's Law of Induction, Kirchhoff's Current Law).

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams.

Proficiency operating general test equipment (oscilloscopes, power supplies, meters, etc.) and interpreting test results.

Knowledge of proper routing, clamping, tying, connecting, and terminating wires and wire bundles in electrical systems per applicable electrical codes.

Strong troubleshooting skills to identify and replace faulty components.

Effective communication skills and attention to detail.
