About the Role:

The Test Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of electronic products by performing detailed testing and inspection of circuit boards and related components. This position involves setting up, calibrating, and operating various test equipment to verify product functionality and adherence to specifications. The Test Technician will work closely with engineering and production teams to identify defects, troubleshoot issues, and recommend corrective actions. Through precise soldering and handling of surface mount devices, the technician ensures that assemblies meet stringent quality standards. Ultimately, this role contributes to delivering high-quality electronic products that meet customer expectations and regulatory requirements.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent with technical training in electronics or related field.
  • Proven experience in soldering and working with circuit boards and electronic components.
  • Familiarity with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, and test fixtures.
  • Basic understanding of electronic principles and the ability to read and interpret schematics.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain accurate documentation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or certification in electronics technology or a related discipline.
  • Experience with surface mount technology (SMT) assembly and repair.
  • Knowledge of calibration standards and procedures for electronic test equipment.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or quality assurance environment.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform functional and in-circuit testing of electronic assemblies using test fixtures and specialized test equipment.
