Job Description: SEASONAL ROLE 

We are currently seeking a candidate who enjoys being outdoors and providing essential public health services as a Tick and Mosquito Technician. The ideal candidate should have a passion for environmental health and be willing to obtain their state pesticide licenses if they do not already possess them. This position offers the opportunity for career advancement to year-round employment by transitioning to an Integrated Pest Management Technician.

Responsibilities:

• Comfortably work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Lift and carry a 50-pound backpack sprayer for multiple hours a day.
• Communicate effectively with customers, office staff, coworkers, and management about services performed.
• Apply pesticides to areas of harborage following all label instructions and complying with state laws and safety procedures.
• Learn about mosquito and tick biology to effectively control populations.

Physical Requirements:

While performing the job responsibilities, the team member is frequently required to stand, walk and sit. The team member is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and kneel, bend, crouch, or crawl. The team member should be able to lift, move and wear a backpack sprayer of up to 50 pounds for multiple hours per day. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception. Adjusting and mixing chemicals according to the labels 

Compensation details: 20-23 Hourly Wage
