GENERAL SUMMARY

The Ticket Agent role reports to the Guest Services Manager and is a part-time position with CVSR. This role is responsible for assisting guests inside and outside of the Depot. Ticket Agents will process ticket orders and address any questions and concerns regarding guests visits, as well as assist with guest safety. Ticket Agents may be scheduled for any days Wednesday through Sunday and will not exceed 28 hours per week. Shifts will be available Saturday and Sunday from March until May and then Wednesday through Sunday beginning on Memorial Day.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide exceptional customer service while advancing the CVSR brand through polite and courteous interactions with customers.
• Greet guests with a friendly, welcoming, and enthusiastic attitude.

• Use CVSRs ticketing system to process orders in-person.
• Assist on the train platform to ensure guest safety and provide proper boarding instruction.

• Maintain awareness of CVSRs train operations, policies, events details, and otherimportant informationso that you may confidently and correctly answer customer questions.

• Address customer concerns and complaints using professional and effective communication.

• Handle of cash and credit card payments.
• Uphold the appearance of the depot through regular cleaning and light maintenance, as directed.

• Attend scheduled staff meetings.

• Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

• 18 years of age or older.

• High School diploma or GED.

• Reliable transportation

• Availability to work weekends.

• Proficient in verbal/written communication skills, including typing skills.

• Detail-oriented anda teamplayer.

• Willingness to work at various locations as needed.

• Ability to handle confidential material such as credit card information.

• Proficient knowledge of basic computer applications including Microsoft Office

• Experience with Retail/Tourism and/or Ticketing software (POS) preferred.
• Ability to think several steps ahead and anticipate needs and challenges.
• Role includes being indoors and outdoors as well as standing, sitting and walking.

Hourly Rate

$15/Hour

Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad is in Northeast Ohio and is a tourist excursion railway and

private sector, nonprofit 501(c)3 organization operating in partnership with Cuyahoga Valley National Park. CVSRs mission is to provide educational, recreational and heritage railroad experiences and provide alternative transportation to and within Cuyahoga Valley National Park and the Ohio & Erie Canalway.
