Tier III Senior Network Engineer – MacDill AFB, FL Position: Senior Network Engineer supporting Global Solutions Management-Operations II (GSM-O II) and Joint Communications Support Element (JCSE) at MacDill AFB. Responsibilities Providing Tier III routing and switching support with hands‑on experience designing, testing, and implementing IGP, EGP, MPLS, VRF, and NFV/Service Chaining on an enterprise network to meet security, performance, operational, and functional requirements. Ensuring proper routing protocols are applied to optimize end‑to‑end network performance from LAN, WAN, CAN, SAN, or data center. Assisting the government customer with identifying derived design objectives, technical specifications, performance requirements, and interoperability specifications to ensure system design meets stakeholder end‑to‑end requirements. Ensuring system design adheres to industry standards, DOD standards, policies, instructions, directives, cybersecurity policies, and best commercial practices. Developing presentations to stakeholders articulating gaps, requirements, objectives, functional and solution architecture. Developing, reviewing, and updating briefings, papers, and spreadsheets to meet customer requirements. Providing analysis of how operational, functional, and performance requirements will be met as part of system design, test, and implementation of initial capabilities. Minimum Qualifications Current DoD 8140 (formerly 8570) IAT Level II certification (CompTIA Security+ce, CCNA Security, CySA+, etc.) CCNP Enterprise BS Degree and 4–8 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 2–6 years of relevant experience (specific experience, education and training may be considered in lieu of degree). Secret clearance. Compensation Very competitive, with a robust rewards and recognition program. Pay Range: $73,450.00 – $132,775.00.
