Responsibilities
Tig welding- Light Gauge Sheet Metal
- Perform TIG welding on light gauge sheet metal components with a foucus on precision and quality
- Production-oriented individual needed. Lot sizes 10- 500 small/medium parts, not large weldments/projects
- Ensure welds conform to customer specifications, standards, and project requirements
- Work with a variety of metals, primarily aluminum but also to include mild steel
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols
- Understand project specifications and weld requirements
- Set up and prepare welding equipent, ensuring proper setting for each jon
- Inspect and clean materials before welding to remove contaminats
- Conduct visual inspections of welds to identify and address defects
- Collaborate with quality control personnel to meet industry standards and customer expectations
- Adhere to safety protocols and best practices in welding operations
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies
- Work closely with the production team and other departments to achieve project goals
- Communicate effectively with supervisors
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a TIG Welder, preferably with expertise in welding light gauge sheet metal
- Proficient in TIG welding techniques with the ability to produce high-quality welds
- Familiarity with various metals, welding equipment, and tools
- Ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Knowledge of safety procedures and adherence to standards
