Hiring a Skilled Tool & Die Repair Technician! About the Role:We are seeking a highly skilled Tool & Die Repair Technician to join our team! In this role, you will be responsible for repairing, rebuilding, and maintaining casting and trim dies to original specifications, ensuring optimal performance and longevity. You’ll work with a variety of equipment, including die cleaning tools, grinders, welders, and CNC machinery, while collaborating with the team to troubleshoot and resolve production tooling issues.Key Responsibilities: Repair, disassemble, and reassemble casting/trim dies using cranes, lift trucks, and precision tools Build and replace die segments, cores, and parts from blueprints Draw polish, grind, and weld die cavity surfaces for precision finishing Troubleshoot and resolve production tooling problems on the fly Maintain detailed records, work orders, and safety compliance Train and mentor new employees in tool & die repair best practicesRequired Skills & Experience: 2+ years of experience in tool & die repair (or 2 years of structured on-the-job training) Proficiency in blueprint reading, welding, grinding, and polishing Ability to operate die repair equipment (CNC, EDM, manual mills/lathes is a plus) Strong problem-solving skills for troubleshooting die failures Journeyman certification (preferred but not required) Technical school, Associate’s Degree, or equivalent experience Interested?
