Tool & Die Professional Seeking highly skilled Tool & Die Professional to maintain dies for metal stamping presses both Progressive and Transfer. The ideal candidate should demonstrate mechanical and technical skills, precision, stamina, and teamwork.
Minimum 2 years apprenticeship completed or 4 years Toolroom metal stamping background.
Should have College or Tech School degree. Experience reading blueprints and CAD specifications, setting up and operating machines and tools. Ability to run all Toolroom equipment: Mills, Lathes, surface grinders, (etc.). Ability to weld: Tig, Mig, Stick.
Ability to weld from steels and re-profile as necessary using hand tools and Toolroom equipment.
Ability to find potential problems before they happen and troubleshoot tools and equipment with the sense of urgency required to eliminate potential downtime. Ability to work extended and flexible hours.
Good communication both written and verbal. Good mathematical ability and use of simple trig formulas. Use of measuring tools: (calipers, micrometers, gauges) Work with engineers and machinists to achieve required results but also able to work independently with little or no supervision
