Pay: $38-$42 (DOE)
Shift: Must be flexible
Role Purpose:
Set up and operate a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts and measuring instruments. May also fabricate and modify parts to make or repair machine tools, applying knowledge of shop mathematics, metal properties, layout, and machining procedures.

Principle Accountabilities:
- Undertake a variety of jobs, in some cases with limited instruction or information from the customer.
- Position and fasten work pieces.
- Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials onto machine.
- Work from sketches, verbal, and print information to produce projects according to specifications.
- Select the appropriate tools and materials to be used in preparation of machinery work.
- Machine parts to specifications using machine tools such as CNC Mills/Lathes, Manual Mills/Lathes, Drill Press, Jig Bore, Sanders, Grinders, and other support equipment.
- Set up, adjust, and operate all the basic machine tools and many specialized or advanced variation tools to perform precision machining operations.
- Calculate dimensions and tolerances using knowledge of mathematics and instruments such as micrometers, depth micrometers, inside diameter gauges, and outside diameter gauges.
- Read and understand gauging sheets.
- Read and interpret blueprints to ensure parts are being made according to specifications.
- Listen to machine and tooling to ensure machine and tooling are running properly.
- Takes job down efficiently (Tooling, cleaning fixtures, putting gauges back, etc.)
Qualification Requirements:

Preferred Education and/or Experience:
- 3 to 7 years of traditional machining experience.
- 2 to 5 years machining experience with some formal schooling.
- Job Shop and CNC experience a plus.
Equipment Used:
- Haas CNC: Mill & Lathe VF4 & ST20
- Clausing type Engine lathe, Vertical Mill, Surface Grinder and Cut off Saw.
