Job Summary:
An aerospace company in Carson is seeking a Tool Attendant to oversee the distribution, tracking, and maintenance of tools and equipment used in manufacturing and production operations. The ideal candidate will ensure that tools are readily available, properly stored, and in good working condition to support aerospace manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Issue, track, and receive tools and equipment used in production and maintenance.

  • Maintain an accurate inventory of tools using tracking systems or software.

  • Perform routine inspections and maintenance to ensure tools are in optimal condition.

  • Coordinate tool calibration and repairs as needed.

  • Organize and maintain tool cribs and storage areas in a clean and orderly manner.

  • Ensure compliance with company and industry safety standards.

  • Assist in ordering and restocking tools and supplies as needed.

  • Work closely with machinists, engineers, and maintenance personnel to meet tool requirements.

  • Document tool usage and report any missing or damaged equipment.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to tool management.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Prior experience as a tool attendant, tool crib attendant, or in a similar role preferred.

  • Familiarity with aerospace tools and equipment is a plus.

  • Basic computer skills and experience with inventory tracking systems.

  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

  • Ability to lift and move tools and equipment as needed (up to 50 lbs).

  • Attention to detail and commitment to safety procedures.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Work Environment:

  • Aerospace manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery and tools.

  • Requires standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the shift.
