Avionics TechnicianThis position assists the Avionics Manager in maintaining aircraft avionics and electronic systems.The classification of this position is broad and assigned specific functional areas; duties and assignments may overlap depending on the operational needs of the department.Essential Functions and Responsibilities include the following:Inspect, test, adjust and repair avionics equipment, including radio, navigation, autopilot, compass and instrument systemsTransponder and pitot static system certifications in accordance with FAA regulations.Install and maintain avionics and electrical equipment.Fabricate and install air-conditioning wiring harness and electrical master control boxes.Install, troubleshoot and repair aircraft intercom systems.Install, troubleshoot and repair audio/video recording systems.Inspect, troubleshoot and repair aircraft electrical and electronics systems.Assist aircraft mechanics with assigned tasks as required.Repairman duties as delineated in company's FAA approved Inspection Procedure Manual.Other duties as assignedAdditional Job RequirementsRegular scheduled attendanceIndicate the percentage of time spent traveling - 20%Subject to applicable laws and Blue Hawaiian Helicopters policies, regular attendance is an essential function of the position.
