ATCS is seeking a highly motivated, multi-faceted Traffic Engineer to join our team! This is a hybrid role in our Timonium office.
Responsibilities:
- Apply broad knowledge of leading-edge transportation engineering principles and techniques to improve the efficiency, reliability, resilience and safety of transportation systems
- Analyze and document findings in technical memos, project reports and research summaries
- Utilize Excel, Synchro, VISSIM, HSM, ISATe, Cube and additional traffic operations to develop plans
- Prepare traffic design plans using Microstation or AutoCAD
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in a civil engineering or relevant field required
- PE in traffic engineering is required
- 5+ years of relevant experience
- Experience managing tasks, projects, and/or staff is required
- Ability to complete assignments with high quality, on time, and within budget
- Must have self-initiative to solve problems and to keep up to date on the latest innovations in traffic engineering
- Ability to seamlessly juggle between competing projects and priorities
- Must demonstrate technical professional competency in traffic engineering and transportation planning as it relates to the safety, planning, engineering, design, and operational needs of transportation systems
Additional Requirements:
- ITS Technology experience is a plus
- Experience with safety analysis techniques preferred
- Demonstrated capabilities with Microstation and AutoCAD graphic packages preferred
- Experience in multiple types off traffic studies, development of microsimulation networks and analysis of transportation data sets desire
