DESCRIPTION:

What are must-have desired traits/experiences that the Manager would most like to see?

Ability to facilitate classes virtually using virtual interactivity.
Ability to receive constructive feedback and make adjustments
Ability to learn new systems/tools and have organization and administrative documentation.
Knowledge on Genesys telephony is a plus.

Required/preferred experience:
Knowledge on Genesys telephony is a plus.
Previous virtual facilitation experience with classes up to 50+ learners.

Job Summary:

The Trainer is responsible for low level education material maintenance and delivery of content-specific
curriculums. This individual works closely with Learning and Development teams to ensure course
content and delivery meets the needs of targeted audiences. Skilled in facilitation and interpersonal
communication, the Trainer consistently demonstrates solid organizational skills, time management,
and professionalism.

Applies adult learning concepts when delivering educational programs
Teaches classes and assists other instructors in classroom and work settings
Utilizes available standardized courses and instructor evaluation processes
Assists in performing an annual education needs assessment as input to the strategic education
program
Utilizes a training database to track competencies and skills for SSC staff
Provides training reports to SSC managers and directors
Practices and adheres to the “Code of Conduct” philosophy and “Mission and Value Statement”
Other duties as assigned

Communication – Communicates clearly and concisely, verbally and in writing, utilizing proper
punctuation and correct spelling
Customer Orientation – Establishes and maintains long-term customer relationships, building
trust and respect by consistently meeting and exceeding expectations
Interpersonal Skills – Works effectively with other employees, patients, and external parties
PC Skills – Demonstrates basic computer literacy, and proficiency in Microsoft Office
applications
Policies & Procedures – Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of organizational policies,
procedures, and systems
Basic skills – Performs basic mathematical calculations, balances and reconciles figures,
punctuates properly, spells correctly and transcribes accurately
Adaptability – Maintains effectiveness when experiencing major changes in work tasks or the
work environment; adjusts effectively to work within new work structures, processes,
requirements, or cultures
Energy – Maintains high levels of activity or productivity; sustains long working hours when
necessary; operates with vigor, effectiveness, and determination over extended periods of time
Tactical Execution – Demonstrates personal ownership of tasks and follows through to get the
required results
Stress Tolerance – Maintains stable performance under pressure or opposition (such as time
pressure or job ambiguity); handles stress in a manner that is acceptable to others and the
organization
Learning Strategies – Has working knowledge and application of learning sciences, adult
learning principles, education delivery methodologies and evaluation
Learning Technologies – Has working knowledge and application of learning technologies to
support education development and implementation; including learning management systems,
virtual classroom delivery tools and education development software: Captivate, PowerPoint,
Word, Excel, screen capture, and audio/video technology
Education:
Associate’s Degree required
Equivalent work experience may substitute for education requirements
Experience:
One year of related experience required

Physical Demands / Working Conditions:
Requires prolonged sitting, some bending, stooping and stretching. Requires eye-hand coordination and
manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator and other office
equipment. Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare and communicate
appropriate reports. Requires lifting papers or boxes up to 25 pounds occasionally. Work is an office
environment. Work may be stressful at times. Contact may involve dealing with angry or upset people.
Staff must remain flexible and available to provide staffing assistance for any/all disaster or emergency
situations.

OSHA Category
The normal work routine involves no exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues (although situations can
be imagined or hypothesized under which anyone, anywhere, might encounter potential exposure to
body fluids). Persons who perform these duties are not called upon as part of their employment to
perform or assist in emergency care or first aid, or to be potentially exposed in some other way.
