About the Role
The Training & Development Coordinator works closely with HR, Quality, and EHS to manage training systems, maintain documentation, prepare materials, support audits, and assist with instructor-led and virtual training. This role is well-suited for someone who values process, organization, and contributing to a culture of continuous learning.
Key Responsibilities
Training Program Support
- Coordinate onboarding, safety training, technical training, and ongoing development programs.
- Manage the Learning Management System (LMS), including course creation, assignment, and tracking.
- Maintain accurate training records in alignment with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare training materials, evaluations, certificates, and attendance logs.
- Support the facilitation of in-person and virtual training sessions.
Compliance and Documentation
- Ensure training documentation meets internal, customer, and regulatory standards (ISO, IATF, OSHA, QMS).
- Work with Quality and EHS teams to confirm mandatory training is completed on time.
- Maintain and update the training matrix.
- Support internal and external audits by providing training documentation.
Continuous Improvement
- Monitor training data and identify gaps or areas for improvement.
- Assist in developing training modules, SOPs, and related process documents.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve training delivery and efficiency.
- Apply Lean and Kaizen principles to streamline workflows.
Communication and Coordination
- Serve as the main point of contact for training-related inquiries.
- Communicate training deadlines, requirements, and updates to employees and managers.
- Coordinate calendars, instructor schedules, and training room setups.
Qualifications
Required
- High school diploma or GED
- One to three years of experience in HR, training, quality, or administrative support
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience using an LMS
- Knowledge of ISO, IATF, OSHA, or similar regulatory standards
- Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or BizLibrary systems
