Training Coordinator Apply
Overview Primary Purpose of the Position: Coordinates and executes onboarding and training of plant floor personnel using classroom and on-the-job training for the operation and maintenance of production equipment, job safety practices, quality policies and procedures for the safe and effective performance of the work assignment. Responsibilities Leads and assists in developing training program components and methods of training, including: Assessment and documentation of employees in procedural competencies Revises instructional material documents based on current requirements/practices Initiates, reviews, and follows all standard operating procedures (SOPs) for area of responsibility Supports components of new employee onboarding, leads some classroom and on-the-job training, and coordinates with other SMEs Administers training records and tracks training progress as prescribed by the plant training program guidelines, and reports progress regularly to individual trainees, supervisors and other stakeholders Evaluates employee proficiency by administering applicable assessments Coordinates and schedules training with plant training resources Accesses, inputs, and exports information from plant computer systems and the learning management system (LMS) Establishes and maintains effective work relationships within the department, the division, the group, and the company, including the ability to handle stress and to interact with others to maintain a positive and productive work environment Works the scheduled hours determined by plant location and may provide training to off-shifts as needed Champions continuous improvement of plant technical training effectiveness Position Requirements & Competencies Professional & Education Qualification High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's Degree preferred 4+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in high-speed manufacturing Specific business experience (e.g., machining, foundry) Previous experience training employees Skills Demonstrated ability to effectively train plant floor employees on safe and effective operations of plant production equipment and processes, using adult learning techniques and providing constructive feedback on training progress Ability to prioritize multiple projects, perform complex tasks, organize and follow through, and work under pressure to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; other computer skills as applicable Strong written and oral communication, facilitation and presentation skills Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills Be inclusive of new hires and support continuous development of employees Ability to apply independent evaluation, selection, and adaptation of standard can and end-making techniques, procedures, and criteria Maintain professional competence, ethical integrity, knowledge, and skills Must be able to handle sensitive and proprietary information in a confidential manner Perform such individual assignments as management may direct #J-18808-Ljbffr
