Job Description: As a Transformer Technician Manager, Production/service team hands on manager you will be responsible for performing testing, maintenance, and repair work reporting on power transformers and overseeing a team of service technicians responsible for these tasks. Your role will primarily involve hands-on work with power transformers and related equipment and delegating tasks and coordinating between leadership/other internal departments and your technician team. Preforming checks and managing quality and production reporting. You will work closely with our engineering team as well to ensure the smooth operation and reliability of our clients' power systems.
Responsibilities: Transformer Technician Manager
- Conduct testing and diagnostics on power transformers to identify and troubleshoot issues.
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on power transformers to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Carry out repairs and replacements of faulty components in power transformers.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to develop testing procedures and protocols.
- Provide technical support and guidance to clients regarding transformer operation and maintenance.
- Document all work performed, including test results, maintenance records, and repairs.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines at all times.
Requirements: Transformer Technician Manager
- A minimum of 4-8 years of experience working with power transformers in a testing and hands-on capacity.
- Degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of power transformer testing techniques and procedures.
- Proficiency in using testing equipment and diagnostic tools.
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to power transformers.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
