About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Transportation Project Engineer / Project Manager to lead the planning, design, and execution of transportation and natural resource engineering projects. This position is ideal for a technically strong engineer with proven leadership and the ability to manage projects profitably from concept through completion.

Key Responsibilities

* Manage and design transportation and natural resource projects from start to finish.

* Develop engineering designs using computer-assisted design (CAD) and modeling software.

* Lead NEPA permitting, engineering reporting, and technical documentation.

* Support construction management and field observation efforts.

* Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, suppliers, and clients.

* Prepare technical specifications, reports, and project communications.

* Work with government agencies to secure project approvals.

* Ensure delivery of projects within scope, schedule, and budget while maintaining profitability.

Priority Locations: Great Falls, Billings, Helena (MT)


Additional Locations: Spokane (WA), Boise (ID)


Requirements

Requirements

* BS/BA in Engineering or related field.

* Minimum 5+ years designing transportation or natural resource projects.

* Professional Engineer (PE) License in MT, ID, or WA OR ability to obtain within 6 months.

* Demonstrated ability to meet scope, budget, and timeline goals.

* Strong understanding of engineering principles and construction documentation.

* Able to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.

* Strong work ethic and ability to provide constructive, professional feedback.
