We are seeking aTransportation Safety/Claims Coordinatorto ensure our training initiatives and safety programs meet all DOT, FMCSA, and OSHA regulatory requirements. This role plays a critical part in reducing unsafe driving behavior and supporting a strong safety culture across TLX. Key Responsibilities Safety & Compliance Leadership Serve as a subject matter expert on DOT compliance and company safety programs. Ensure adherence to DOT regulations, FMCSA requirements, OSHA standards, and company policies. Monitor Hours-of-Service compliance, ELD usage, and pre/post‑trip inspections. Conduct periodic audits of transportation safety programs to ensure accuracy and regulatory alignment. Review driver qualification files for both company drivers and owner‑operators. Driver Qualification & Training Partner with Recruiting to oversee the driver qualification process, including MVRs, DOT physicals, and drug/alcohol testing. Develop, manage, and continuously improve training programs for drivers and managers. Lead new‑driver safety training and support ongoing coaching initiatives. Evaluate and grade drivers throughout training phases, documenting results for personnel files. Assist the Vice President of Safety & Risk Management with post‑accident and post‑injury investigations, including root‑cause analysis and required reporting. Serve as primary liaison between drivers, insurance carriers, adjusters, attorneys, and third-party administrators Collect and review accident documentation including driver statements, police reports, photos, dashcam footage, and witness information Ensure timely reporting of incidents to insurance providers in accordance with policy requirements Monitor claim progress and maintain accurate claim files and status updates Coordinate post-accident drug and alcohol testing compliance when required under FMCSA regulations Drug & Alcohol Program Administration Maintain driver files for random drug screens and inspections. Communicate testing requirements to drivers and ensure adherence to regulations. Complete all required Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse inquiries. Create user profiles in necessary third‑party platforms. Technology & Continuous Improvement Maintain a strong working knowledge of Federal, State, and local transportation regulations. Fully understand Netradyne cameras and online platforms, including reporting, coaching trends, and event analysis. Collaborate with managers on driver observations, safety inspections, and corrective action recommendations. Provide insights to leadership on policy updates that enhance fleet safety and operational performance. Requirements 2+ years of DOT fleet compliance and claims experience. 2+ years managing driver safety or transportation safety programs. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (advanced Excel required). Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to pass a background check and drug test. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of state and federal trucking regulations preferred. Ability to train effectively on policies, procedures, and best practices. Strong organizational and time-management skills; able to multitask and meet deadlines. Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Experience with Netradyne or similar systems preferred but not required.
