Then this Transportation Supervisor could be the right fit for you.Responsibilities:Plan, coordinate, and optimize transportation routes to maximize efficiency and reduce delivery times.Assign drivers and vehicles based on delivery schedules, customer locations, equipment capacity, and operational priorities.Dispatch drivers and monitor routes to ensure on-time performance and adherence to schedules.Oversee fleet operations, including trucks, vans, and delivery vehicles, ensuring proper maintenance, servicing, and inspections.Schedule and manage preventative maintenance and repairs to minimize downtime and maintain road readiness.Monitor fuel usage, mileage, and other fleet performance metrics to improve efficiency and control costs.Supervise transportation personnel including drivers, loaders, and dispatchers; provide coaching, direction, and ongoing performance feedback.Conduct driver training on safety procedures, regulatory compliance, route navigation, and customer service standards.Evaluate employee performance and implement corrective action plans when necessary.Ensure compliance with all DOT regulations, safety standards, and company policies.Perform regular safety inspections and address potential hazards promptly.Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses; implement preventative measures to reduce recurrence.Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders regarding transportation operations.Resolve transportation-related issues and customer concerns in a timely and professional manner.Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery, vehicle utilization, fuel efficiency, and driver productivity.Generate operational reports and analyze data to identify trends and opportunities for continuous improvement.Implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency, service quality, and cost effectiveness.Skills/Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Transportation Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.Proven experience in transportation operations with demonstrated leadership or supervisory responsibility.Strong knowledge of transportation regulations, DOT compliance requirements, and safety standards.Proficiency in Transportation Management Systems (TMS), routing software, and related technology platforms.Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities in a fast-paced environment.Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as operational needs require.Benefits:Dental insurance.Health insurance.Paid Time Off.401(K).401(K) Matching.Vision insurance.Direct Hire.Salary: $80K-$90K annually
