Transportation SupervisorBlue Line Distribution, the in-house distributor for Little Caesars Pizza, has been family owned and operated for over 50 years; and is dedicated to leading customized and innovative food service logistics with safety as a top priority. We are now hiring for a Transportation Supervisor at our facility in Lacey, Washington.Your mission:In this role, you will assist in leading the transportation department in strategic and day-to-day activities, from managing schedules and routes to creating and managing transportation goals identified in the strategic plan. You will be responsible for productivity goals and standards, DOT compliance and safety, and provide industry-leading quality service. This position will include managing the driver colleagues.How you'll make an impact:Assure the most efficient delivery schedule that satisfies customer delivery needs while ensuring the lowest total distribution cost per case.Manage the monitoring of driver routes, stops and deliveries and ensure that all required logs are accurate and completed on time.Develop maintenance schedules and procedures that ensure high performing vehicles and equipment while maintaining adequate coverage for deliveries. Train drivers in procedures.Uncover, prioritize and eliminate issues at an operational and tactical level.May also conduct driver ride-alongs.Who you are:Minimum of three (3) years supervisory experience within the transportation industry, including managing drivers, routes, fleet maintenance and operating expenses.Possess a strong understanding of DOT, FDA, and OSHA, CSA compliance requirements, company policies and all national and state regulations and the ability to enforce them.Proficient in software applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Lotus Notes and experience with onboard systems such as PeopleNet and Appian to maximize driver route efficiency.Experience in fleet maintenance.Ability to work after normal business hours, evenings and weekends as necessary.In addition to competitive compensation, we offer a variety of benefits for our full-time colleagues after 90 days with the company, including but not limited to:A variety of medical plans to choose from to fit your needs, with prescription coverageComprehensive dental and vision plansShort & Long Term Disability, Life Insurance and Accidental Death & Dismemberment Coverage401k plan, with a company match, that colleagues can enroll in immediately, if enrollment criteria is met.Employee Assistance Program (Company Paid)Additional optional benefit offerings available are Critical Illness plans, Legal plans, Whole Life Insurance, Adoption Benefits and other.Pay range for the position: $63,627.00 - $101,802.00All items listed above are illustrative and not comprehensive.
