 Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and compassionate Travel Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant with experience in Cardiology to provide on-site care to residents in long-term care settings.  This is a full-time position ideal for a provider who values meaningful patient relationships and a collaborative care environment. As a Cardiology Travel Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive care to patients with heart-related conditions. This is an exciting opportunity to make a difference in the lives of patients while working alongside a dedicated team of healthcare professionals. 

Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including physical examinations, medical histories, and diagnostic tests 
  • Collaborate with cardiologists to develop and implement treatment plans for patients with cardiovascular conditions 
  • Administer medications, monitor patient responses, and adjust treatment plans as necessary 
  • Conduct cardiac stress tests, electrocardiograms (EKGs), and other diagnostic procedures 
  • Educate patients and their families about cardiovascular health, preventive measures, and the importance of medication adherence
  • Assist with cardiac catheterizations, angioplasties, and other invasive procedures under the supervision of a cardiologist.
  • Travel regularly to multiple nursing homes within the designated region to deliver on-site care
  • Maintain a flexible schedule to accommodate facility visits and optimize patient coverage
Requirements
  • Nurse Practitioner License
  • DEA License
  • 6 months of experience in long-term care 
  • Reliable transportation
  • Must be willing to travel to different nursing homes within the state of Nebraska (100% commitment)
