Job Description\nThe Cardiac Cath Lab Tech is responsible for ensuring the safe delivery of cardiac services to patients. This role includes caring for technical equipment, identifying and addressing any equipment issues, and maintaining logs and documentation related to procedures. The Cardiac Cath Lab Tech will assist with patient care during procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety while educating them on the procedures involved.
\n\nResponsibilities\n- \n
- Ensure safe procedures are carried out in the delivery of cardiac services. \n
- Effectively handle and care for technical equipment, including x-ray and film processing equipment. \n
- Identify equipment problems and safety hazards, initiating repairs as necessary. \n
- Accurately obtain, calculate, and analyze hemodynamic data. \n
- Assist in preparing patients for procedures, maintaining comfort and safety during the process. \n
- Educate patients pre and post-procedure on protocols and care. \n
- Maintain accurate and complete procedural records and documentation. \n
- Verify proper identification of patients and ensure all consents are completed correctly. \n
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of supplies, ensuring expiration dates are checked and adhered to. \n
- Scrub in for invasive procedures and demonstrate familiarity with individual cardiologists' preferences. \n
This position operates on a Day Shift, with hours from 7:00 AM to 6:30 PM, requiring weekend and holiday availability as needed.
\n\nRequired Experience / Certifications / Licensure\n- \n
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in Cardiac Cath Lab is required. \n
- Experience with permanent pacemaker placement is preferred. \n
- Knowledge of Impella and balloon pump usage is required. \n
- BLS and Radiology certification are required. \n
- IABP Certification must be maintained. \n
- Monitor Technician Certification/Annual Telemetry Review must be successfully completed. \n
