\nDepartment: CT/Xray Tech\n*Certifications Required: BLS, ARRT(R), (Preferred: ARRT - CT)*\n\n- Will they have to float/cover any other areas?: If needed, training would be provided for "floating" to assist with radiology injections/biopsies\n- Common types of imaging/studies performed & Job Duties: Coverage for all areas: ambulatory, clinic, outpatient, inpatient, ER, OR. Critical Access Hospital that performs various x-rays & CT's: CTA's (we are a stroke designated hospital): Traumas: due to being near a major highway; We also have a Orthopedic clinic 1 block away from hospital & perform various joint imaging & procedures\n- Experience or 'Must have' skills: This position requires x-ray & CT knowledge/skills; may have to use C-arm in surgery for emergent cases\n- EMR &/or PACS (Picture Archive & Communication System: software & hardware) do they use: EMR: EPIC PACS: McKesson\n- Department Specific Equipment (GE, Phillips, Siemens): Siemens 128 slice CT scanner: Siemens Ysio Xray; Siemens MIRA portable; GE OEC c-arm, Hologic Mini-C\n- Is there a Radiology Supervisor or Lead Tech on each shift?: Director available during day Mon-Friday; can be reached after hours if emergent\n- Do they use RRAs (Registered Radiology Assistants)?: No- but do have 1 Radiology RN Mon-Fri\n- Shifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling? Block scheduling?): Shift lengths; 8, 10 &/or 12: depending on need. 6a-230, 8-430, 830-5, 930-6p, 1130-8, 12-830pm; 8p-6a, 6a-6p or 6p-6a // Director will do scheduling\n- Weekend Requirements: Typically every third or fourth\n- Holiday Requirements: Will work where there is a need\n- Call or Standby requirement? Response time?: Dependent upon schedule; if appropriately staffed there is no call: if working short staffed-then there would be call overnight\n- How many shifts of unit/department specific orientation?: Typically 1 week\n- Additional Notes: Can be busy/demanding with busy ER and Clinic. Attributes that help a tech be successful in this department include good communication skills, willingness to listen/learn: helpful & eager to work\n\nRadius Rule: 50 miles AND candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity within the past year\nRTO needed upfront - Additional RTO will not be approved, including after submissions.\n
