Radiologic Technologist - Computed Tomography

Job Details:

• 13-week contract assignment
\n• Work in ER, Inpatient, and Outpatient units at a Level 2 Trauma facility
\n• Hospital experience required
\n• Must have 2 years of CT experience
\n• Experience with GE and Phillips equipment required
\n• Must have workstation experience
\n• Required certifications: ARRT (CT) and BLS
\n• Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) and the advanced registry in Computed Tomography (CT) or registry-eligible
\n• High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required
\n• Must maintain required hours of continued medical education
\n• Dress code: Pewter scrubs
\n• Perform computerized tomographic radiological procedures on patients
\n• May perform general diagnostic radiology examinations
\n• Explain examination procedures to patients and prepare them for examinations
\n• Administer intravenous contrast media including utilization of power injectors
\n• Monitor patients for possible reactions and provide immediate care if needed
\n• Assist Radiologist in performing complex sterile diagnostic procedures such as biopsies
\n• Demonstrate principles of radiation protection and ALARA techniques
\n• Complete all study indexing and documentation in medical records and radiology information system
\n• May work with potentially contagious patients and be exposed to radiation if proper precautions are not utilized
