Duration: 13-weeks contract
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
Weekly Pay Rate: $2,520 $2,664; (Negotiable based on experience)
Shift Schedule:
  • Thursday: 11:00 AM 11:00 PM
  • Friday: 11:00 AM 11:00 PM
  • Saturday: 7:00 PM 7:00 AM

Job Summary:

The CT Technologist is responsible for performing computed tomography (CT) imaging procedures to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating medical conditions. The technologist will operate imaging equipment, ensure patient safety and comfort, and maintain high-quality imaging standards in accordance with departmental and hospital policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform CT scans according to physician orders and established protocols.
  • Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures, ensuring safety and comfort.
  • Operate CT and radiologic equipment efficiently and safely.
  • Evaluate images for diagnostic quality and accuracy before submission to radiologists.
  • Maintain accurate patient and imaging records in the Epic EMR system.
  • Ensure proper handling, storage, and administration of contrast materials.
  • Adhere to radiation safety and infection control guidelines.
  • Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.
  • Participate in quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology.
  • Certification:
    • Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) RT(R)(CT) required.
    • BLS certification (American Heart Association).
  • Licensure: Active New York State Radiologic Technologist License required.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 2 years of CT Technologist experience required.
    • At least 1 year of general radiologic/imaging experience.
    • Prefer specific experience and training in Radiology.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Epic EMR and PACS systems.

  • Must reside within a 100-mile radius of Watertown, NY.
