RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
\n• Every other weekend requirement with possible holiday rotation
\n• Maintain 1:3 nurse to patient ratio
\n• Complete required modules prior to working (approximately 20 hours with up to 6 hours billable)
\n• 1-2 days orientation with preceptor based on individual needs
\n• Must have 5 years of emergency department experience
\n• Must be able to mix and titrate critical drips including Amiodarone, Cardizem, Epinephrine, and Insulin
\n• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, ENPC, NRP, NIHSS
\n• Must be able to read and interpret telemetry and EKGs independently
\n• Care for patients ranging from minor injuries to major traumas, STEMIs, and strokes
\n• Handle oil field-related injuries including crush injuries, burns, and traumatic amputations
\n• Must demonstrate critical thinking skills and ability to work independently
\n• No floating or call requirements
\n• Dress code requires navy blue scrubs with jackets allowed (no hoods)
\n• Charting system: TruBridge - Evident
\n• BSN not required

Facility:

This community hospital features a 5-bed emergency department with 2 trauma bays and serves 40-50 patients daily. The facility is currently working toward Level IV trauma designation and offers more capabilities than typical small hospitals. The emergency department operates with 24/7 physician coverage, in-house security, and comprehensive diagnostic services including X-ray, CT, ultrasound, and MRI capabilities. The facility provides respiratory therapy support and maintains a separate walk-in family practice clinic for lower acuity patients.
