American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Emergency Room position requiring NY licensure, Epic proficiency, and a full certification suite including TNCC and PALS for a 32-week assignment.
Details- Hospital-based Emergency Room setting
- 12-hour night shifts on a biweekly schedule of 80 hours (three 12-hour shifts one week, three 12-hour shifts plus one 8-hour shift the next)
- Schedule runs Monday through Sunday with no block scheduling
- Minimum of every other weekend required, with schedule flexibility to meet unit and patient care needs
- Epic EMR experience required
- Active NY RN license required; proof of pending application with applied date is acceptable
- Certifications required: AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, AHA PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC (or proof of scheduled class with applied date)
- Preferred certifications: CEN, ENPC, CPEN, ABLS
- Minimum 1 year of Emergency Room RN experience required
- Epic EMR experience from within the past 2 years required (non-negotiable)
- At least two professional references from a Nurse Manager and/or Supervisor required, with one from within the past 6 months and one from within the past year of employment
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
- This position is interview-to-offer (IVO) — no traditional interview process
- Bi-weekly Monday orientations available for onboarding
- NIHSS certification must be obtained prior to start date
- Public transportation is not accessible in this area; a personal or rental vehicle with all-season or snow tires (November–April) is strongly recommended
- Vermont-licensed candidates are welcome to apply; VT licensure is not required at time of submission
- All employment gaps of more than 90 days must be explained in your work history
- Complete work history including bed count, EMR, and facility type is required for consideration
