Job Details:

• 2+ years of nursing experience required with previous travel experience required
\n• Strong Neuro ICU experience must be noted in work history
\n• Patient ratios of 1:2 for days, nights, and weekends
\n• Required to work 3-4 weekend shifts per month (Friday or Saturday night)
\n• 24 hours of orientation provided
\n• Float as needed per census - if pulled to another ICU, still only take 2 patients; if pulled to telemetry unit, only take 3 patients
\n• Required certifications: NIHSS, ACLS, BLS
\n• EPIC charting system experience required
\n• Must be more than 75 miles from facility to be eligible as traveler
\n• Kentucky nursing license in hand or compact required at submission
\n• 2 references required
\n• Care for adult patients with acute and subacute ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes, subdural hematomas, post-craniotomy patients, carotid procedures, seizures, and other neurological conditions
\n• Manage ventilated patients, arterial lines, central lines, IV drips, and specialized neuro equipment
\n• Experience required with airway management, dysrhythmia management, continuous IV sedation, vasopressor titration, and multisystem organ dysfunction
\n• Work with specialized equipment including extraventricular drains, lumbar drains, CRRT, Arctic Sun, and BIS monitoring
