Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
\n• Every other weekend schedule required
\n• 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio with daily census of 10 patients
\n• Float to other ICUs when Neuro ICU is overstaffed or other units are critically understaffed
\n• Must have 2 years of ICU experience required
\n• Epic charting system experience required
\n• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and CPI
\n• Preferred certification: NIHSS
\n• 24-hour orientation period
\n• Royal blue scrubs required
\n• Must live over 65 miles from facility (no local travelers accepted)
\n• Compact or Louisiana license required upon submittal
\n• NURSYS reports required with profile (within 4 weeks of submission)
\n• Two manager/supervisor references required for contract clearance
\n• Care for neurosurgery ICU patients with frequent neuro checks
\n• Manage patients requiring EVDs, IV insulin protocols, CVVHD/CRRT
\n• Handle frequent CT and MRI transport trips
\n• May be assigned to Emergency Team during critical events with expectation to remain at facility
