Assignment Details Specialty: Cath Lab Technologist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Start Date: 07/22/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Assignment Overview Shift: Days, 5x8hrs Hours: 40 hrs/wk Start Date: Jul 22 2026 Length: 13 weeks Openings: 1 Description American Traveler is seeking a Cath Lab / EP Technologist with a minimum of 2 years of experience and strong IR background for a combo IR/Cardiology/Vascular/EP lab setting. Details Combo lab environment covering IR, Cardiology, Vascular, and EP procedures, with an approximate 80% IR and 10% other procedure split Adult and geriatric patient population Device implant cases include PPM and ICD 5x8-hour day shifts, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM Every third weekend required Call requirement includes a minimum of 7 call days per month, typically structured as two call days per week for two weeks and one call weekend per month; additional coverage may be required on a rotating basis STEMI callback time is 30 minutes; IR callback time varies by procedure type Call team consists of three staff members, including one RN No float requirement Contracts ranging from 13 to 20 weeks are accepted EMR/system used: Dimensions (training provided on unit) Equipment includes GE MAC Lab, Philips iFR/IVUS, Canon and GE Labs, Angio Jet, Penumbra, EKOS, Inari, CSI Atherectomy System, Bovi System with Plasma Blade Cutter, Radiofrequency Ablation Unit, Venous Closure Unit, Sonosite S2000 Ultrasound, IABP, and Impella Requirements Minimum 2 years of relevant Cath Lab / IR experience required IR experience is required; approximately 90% of the caseload is IR Skills required: scrubbing, circulating, and telemetry Current ACLS and BLS required ARRT or RCIS certification required Ability to work with adult and geriatric patient populations Two professional manager/supervisor references from within the past 12 months are highly preferred License required if applicable Additional Information Responsibilities include assisting providers with diagnostic and interventional radiology, cardiology, and vascular procedures; scrubbing and circulating for IR, Cath Lab, and cardiology cases Urgent and emergent cardiology and IR procedures are expected Medication administration is performed by the RN only Preferred skills include EKG lead placement; preferred certifications include ARRT Advanced Cert, RCES, and RCIS with medication experience Technologists begin directly on the unit on Mondays until Dimensions training is completed Orientation is 40–80 hours, with weekly orientation sessions Pre-start modules are required (approximately 8–10 hours for acute care roles) and must be completed annually; modules are completed via online learning, Zoom, webinar, and in-person classes Scrubs are provided No holiday RTO is permitted; candidates must be available to work 2 out of 3 major holidays RTO of 7 days or fewer may be auto-approved if it does not fall on a holiday; additional RTO requires facility approval; no RTO is permitted during the first week of assignment Any previous permanent, PRN, or EP staff employee of this health system must wait 12 months before applying as a traveler; facility rehire approval is required Local candidates are accepted; candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are subject to a local pay rate First-time travelers are not required to have prior travel experience Travel pairs are allowed but must have their own transportation and be open to potentially different schedules Benefits American Traveler offers exceptional benefits, including premium medical, dental, vision and life insurance beginning day one of your assignment, generous 401(k) match, substantial housing stipends, and more.
