American Traveler is hiring an Invasive Cardiovascular Technologist with at least 1 year of Cath Lab experience and required ARRT or RCIS certification to provide technical support during invasive cardiovascular procedures.
Details- Works in a cardiac catheterization laboratory supporting invasive cardiovascular procedures
- Assists physicians with radiological imaging of cardiac and vascular procedures, including acting as a scrub assistant while maintaining sterile conditions
- Operates imaging equipment and works in the control room monitoring and documenting procedure images and events
- Uses Epic for charting
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in Cardiology/Cath Lab required; 2 years preferred
- ARRT (Registered) or RCIS required; candidates without ARRT must obtain RCIS within 18 months of hire; Registered Respiratory Therapists must hold CV-specific certification (RCIS or RCES)
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required — both must be AHA-endorsed and must not expire prior to start
- Fluoroscopy Certification required
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree preferred
- License required if applicable — active license required, no pending licenses accepted
- DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration
- English proficiency (read, write, speak) required
- Provides patient care under RN supervision, including patient and family education regarding pre- and post-procedure expectations
- Responsible for maintaining stock levels for complex interventional and diagnostic procedures and ensuring unit cleanliness and order
- Completes daily, progress, and discharge documentation per departmental standards, including accurate productivity reporting
- Participates in quality and patient safety initiatives, identifying areas for process improvement and potential safety hazards
- Radiation dosimetry badges must be supplied by the traveling clinician's vendor
- Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any Intermountain facility must have been separated for at least 1 year before being eligible for a travel assignment
