Job Title: LPN corrections
Location: Harvest, AL
Shift: 8/hr Night and Evening shift
Job Type: Contract (13 Weeks with the possibility of extension)

Position Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Corrections healthcare team. The LPN will provide essential nursing care to inmates within a secure correctional facility, ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care while maintaining safety and compliance with facility regulations. The ideal candidate is compassionate, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a structured, security-focused environment.


Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, including assessments, vital signs, and basic medical treatments
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
  • Monitor and document patient conditions, reporting any changes to the RN or provider
  • Respond to medical emergencies and provide appropriate interventions
  • Assist with intake screenings and health assessments for new inmates
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EMR systems
  • Follow all security protocols and collaborate with correctional officers to ensure a safe environment
  • Support infection control and maintain hygiene standards within the facility
  • Educate patients on health conditions, medications, and preventive care
  • Ensure compliance with state, federal, and facility healthcare regulations 

Requirements:

  • Active, unrestricted LPN  License
  • BLS Certification by AHA
  • Covid Card
