Job Title: Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT) – Night Shift (Travelers only)

Job Summary:
The Medical Laboratory Technologist is responsible for performing a wide range of laboratory tests and procedures to support accurate diagnosis and treatment of patients. Working under the direction of laboratory leadership and pathology staff, this role ensures high-quality results while maintaining compliance with established standards and protocols.

Key Responsibilities:
•\tPerform routine and complex laboratory tests across multiple disciplines, including:
o\tBlood Bank
o\tChemistry
o\tHematology
o\tCoagulation
o\tUrinalysis
o\tMicrobiology (including Gram stains)
•\tAnalyze and interpret test results, ensuring accuracy and reliability
•\tOperate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments and equipment
•\tAdhere to laboratory policies, procedures, and safety regulations
•\tEnsure proper specimen handling, labeling, and processing
•\tMaintain quality control and participate in quality assurance programs
•\tDocument and report test findings in a timely manner
•\tCollaborate with healthcare providers to support patient care
•\tMaintain a clean, organized, and efficient laboratory environment

Schedule:
•\tNight Shift: 10-hour shifts
•\tRotating schedule including weekdays and weekends
•\tBiweekly guaranteed hours as per assignment requirements

Qualifications:
•\tBachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science or a related scientific field
•\tCertification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) or Medical Technologist (MT) by a nationally recognized agency (e.g., ASCP) or equivalent
•\tMinimum of 2 years of recent laboratory experience
•\tStrong experience as a generalist across multiple lab disciplines
•\tProficiency in laboratory information systems and electronic medical records (EMR)
•\tStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
