Certification Details
- Documents patient information related to telemetry initiation and discontinuation
- Escalates actionable alarms to the RN
- Reports to the charge nurse or nurse manager any issues related to telemetry functions
- Tracks patients who left for procedures or diagnostic tests
- Manages alarms including the printing and reviewing of cardiac strips
- Maintains a log of telemetry usage and availability
Job Details
- 1 year of acute care experience
- Knowledgeable in medical terminology
- Knowledgeable in cardiac anatomy and physiology
- Knowledgeable in correct monitoring lead placement
- Knowledgeable in cardiac waveforms, rhythms and measurements
