\n\nSchedule\n4x10 hour shifts, 7:30 AM - 6:00 PM, on call every other weekend.
\n\nJob Description\nThe Neurointerventional Radiologic Technologist is responsible for performing routine to complex diagnostic and therapeutic procedures under the direction of a physician in the Angio Interventional Radiology or Neuro IR services. Duties include extra-cranial and intracranial angiography, vertebroplasty, spinal injections, myelograms, cisternograms, embolizations, cryoablations, coilings, and clot retrievals.
\n\nResponsibilities\n- \n
- Provide technical support for all IR and neurointerventional procedures, including discograms, aspirations, therapeutic injections, angiography, and ablations. \n
- Assist in neurointerventional procedures, including tumor, epistaxis, and spinal lesion embolization. \n
- Operate advanced imaging equipment according to established guidelines and imaging protocols. \n
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and radiation safety practices. \n
- Instruct students and residents; perform preceptor duties when necessary. \n
- Perform quality assurance checks on equipment and maintain supply inventory. \n
- Utilize UHS information systems for IR scheduling online. \n
- Review coding procedures for accurate billing of procedures. \n
- Engage in continuous learning through lectures, seminars, and educational readings. \n
- Maintain confidentiality of patient and hospital information. \n
- Comply with all hospital policies regarding incident reporting. \n
- \n
- ARRT(R) certification \n
- New York State license as a Radiologic Technologist \n
- BLS Certification (AHA, HSI, or American Red Cross) \n
- Experience in interventional radiology and neurointerventional procedures \n
