\n Travel Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) opportunity in Middlebury, Vermont (05753) — 16-week travel nursing assignment for ER RNs with EPIC EMR experience, 2+ years of recent emergency department nursing, and charge nurse experience.   • Setting: Emergency Department, Critical Access Hospital (10–14 bed capacity)\n
  • Shift: 12-hour rotating shifts (Evening/Night; options include 7a–7p, 11a–11p, 3p–3a, 7p–7a)\n
  • Hours per Week: 36\n
  • Employment Type: Travel, W2\n
  • Estimated Weekly Pay: $2360 – $2480\n
  • Schedule Requirements: Flexible for holidays and every other weekend\n
  • Transportation: No public transit; reliable personal/rental vehicle required — all-season or snow tires recommended November–April\n
\n\nRequired Qualifications — ER Registered Nurse\n
    \n
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — Vermont or compact state accepted\n
  • Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience\n
  • At least one completed travel nursing assignment required\n
  • Charge nurse experience required\n
  • EPIC EMR experience within the past 2 years (nonnegotiable) — EPIC documentation experience for ER RNs\n
  • Required certifications: AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, AHA PALS or ENPC, NRP, TNCC, NIHSS\n
  • Ability to precept, mentor, and support new nurses — strong clinical leadership for ED teams\n
  • Comfortable working in rural/critical access hospital settings and managing ambulance transports\n
  • Complete work history (bed count, EMR, facility type, etc.) required for submission\n
\n\nResponsibilities — Emergency Department RN / ER Nurse\n
    \n
  • Provide high-quality emergency care to patients across the lifespan (newborn to geriatric)\n
  • Perform ESI triage, IV insertion, drips/infusions, EKGs, restraint application, procedural sedation, and ambulance transports\n
  • Manage ED documentation and medication administration using Epic EMR and Pyxis medication systems\n
  • Participate in telemedicine and telestroke consultations; support STEMI, stroke, trauma, and pediatric transfers\n
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, mid-level providers, ED techs, and RNs\n
  • Serve as charge nurse as needed; triage effectively and oversee unit flow in a critical access hospital\n
  • Precept and mentor new staff to support clinical development and patient safety\n
