This is a small community hospital (it is not a pediatric intensive care unit). The census is 3. There is not a second nurse scheduled for the unit. The maximum number of patients is 3. There is backup from Family Birthplace staff, and travelers have a security badge with a panic button to get immediate help. There are also respiratory and IV therapists that can cover the unit.
