Registered Nurse - Outpatient Infusion Center

Glens Falls, NY

This is a 13-week contract position.

Days, 8 hours. Shifts may vary between 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM, 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM, or 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM.

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Outpatient Infusion Center. The RN will provide specialized care in intravenous therapy, ensuring patient safety and comfort during infusion treatments. The role involves collaborating with healthcare professionals to deliver high standards of patient care in a dedicated outpatient setting.

• Administer intravenous therapies, including antibiotics, antifungals, and steroids.
\n
• Manage and maintain central venous access devices and perform peripheral IV insertions.
\n
• Provide patient education on self-administration of medications.
\n
• Oversee the hydration therapy and therapeutic phlebotomies.
\n
• Handle specialty medications for various chronic conditions.
\n

\n
• Current New York RN license.
\n
• 2+ years of recent experience in outpatient oncology and infusion settings.
\n
• Chemo Certification (ONS) and Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) are required.
\n
• Experience with Peripheral IV insertion, Port/Fistula/Catheter care is mandatory.
\n
• EPIC experience is required.
\n
• IV Certification is highly preferred.
\n
• Must have completed de-escalation training as of 1/1/2024.
\n
