Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Pharmacist to support acute inpatient services, including Emergency Department and Behavioral Health units. The Pharmacist will be responsible for ensuring safe and effective medication management, supporting clinical teams, and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and verify medication orders for accuracy and appropriateness
- Prepare, dispense, and manage medications in accordance with physician orders
- Provide clinical support and medication guidance to healthcare providers
- Maintain accurate medication records and documentation
- Support sterile compounding and IV preparation as needed
- Ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations, policies, and safety standards
- Utilize EMR systems for documentation and medication management
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient care
Required Qualifications
- Minimum one (1) year of Pharmacist experience
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Pharmacy
- Valid Pharmacist license issued by NYSED
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with pharmacy dispensing systems
- Sterile processing and IV room experience
- Knowledge of EMR systems (e.g., EPIC preferred)
Additional Notes
- Weekend coverage required (scheduled days off during weekdays)
- (Day shift: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
- Experience in acute inpatient settings preferred
