American Traveler is seeking a Radiology Technologist (X-Ray) with 2+ years of experience for a 13-week night shift contract at a Level I Trauma acute care hospital.
Details- Acute care hospital setting within a General X-Ray Radiology department with 4 rooms
- Patient population includes ED, outpatient, and inpatient cases
- Average of 20–30 scans/studies per day
- Procedures include fluoroscopy, general X-ray, C-arm, and portable imaging
- GE equipment; EMR is Epic and PACS is Fuji Synapse
- Night shifts: 12-hour shifts from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM, rotating between 3 and 4 shifts per week
- Day shift option also available: 10-hour shifts with variable start times of 6:00 AM, 7:00 AM, 7:30 AM, or 8:00 AM
- Weekend coverage required; holiday coverage not required
- On-call may occasionally be required
- No floating to other areas required
- In-house radiologist on staff; no Radiology Supervisor or Lead Tech on unit
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Radiology Technologist
- Active ARRT (R) certification required; pending certifications are not accepted
- Current BLS (AHA) certification required
- Active state or compact (NLC) license required if applicable; pending licenses will not be accepted
- Proficiency in fluoroscopy, general X-ray, C-arm, and portable imaging required
- Driver's license required for consideration
- 2 professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, each including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire
- Candidates must reside at least 60 miles from the facility
- Perform diagnostic imaging across ED, inpatient, and outpatient settings using GE equipment
- A radiation badge must be provided by the agency prior to starting the assignment
- Department-specific orientation is provided; candidates must be present in state for the full week of orientation, even if initial modules are completed remotely
- Scrubs are not provided; any professional scrub colors are acceptable
- Candidates who have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity-affiliated facility within the past year are not eligible; candidates employed PRN through outside firms will be considered
