Description

American Traveler is hiring a Radiology Technologist (X-Ray) for a 13-week night shift contract at a Joint Commission Accredited community hospital in Clyde, NC, requiring 6+ years of experience with OR and fluoroscopy procedures.

Details
  • Located in Clyde, NC, approximately 20 miles from Asheville in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains
  • 154-bed, Joint Commission Accredited Duke LifePoint hospital offering orthopedics, spine services, cardiology, general surgery, women's care, ED, behavioral health, and 11 multi-specialty physician clinics
  • Diagnostic Radiology department on the 1st floor
  • Patient population is primarily geriatric and adult, with some pediatric patients
  • Typical daily caseload of 20–30 patients
  • Procedures include OR and fluoroscopy; CT/MRI experience is preferred
  • Equipment includes GE and Philips imaging systems
  • EMR: Paragon
  • 12-hour night shifts, 9:00 PM – 7:00 AM
  • Every other weekend coverage required; may be asked for additional weekend help as needed for PTO coverage
  • Call rotation shared with permanent staff
  • May float to an outpatient center as needed
Requirements
  • Minimum 6 years of experience as a Radiology Technologist
  • OR experience is required; fluoroscopy procedure experience is required
  • Associate's degree required
  • Current BLS (AHA) and ARRT certification required
  • CT/MRI experience preferred
  • SSN and date of birth required for consideration
  • License required if applicable
  • Candidates must reside 60+ miles from the facility to qualify for the travel rate
Additional Information
  • Perform diagnostic X-ray, OR, and fluoroscopy procedures across a diverse patient population
  • Orientation is held bi-weekly
  • Black scrubs required; open-toe shoes are not permitted
  • Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
  • Candidates who are currently employed full-time elsewhere are not eligible
  • AHA certifications must be current at the time of consideration
