Diagnostic Radiology Technologist  
Location: IHS facility – Pinon, AZ 

Pay Rate: $48 per hour plus $38.33 per hour for Travel Stipends  
Schedule: Regular hours are 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Monday through Thursday. 40 hours per week  

Contract Length: 1 Year 

Benefits:  

  • $5.09 per hour Health & Welfare
  • PTO: 10 days per year
  • 56 hours of sick leave accrued annually
  • Holiday pay 

Job Description: 

We are seeking a Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) to join an Indian Health Service facility in Pinon, Arizona. This role provides outpatient radiologic imaging services that support physicians in diagnosing injuries, illnesses, and other medical conditions. 
Requirements: 

  • ARRT Radiologic Technologist certification
  • Minimum 12 months of radiology experience
  • Current BLS certification
  • Strong patient care and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently in an outpatient clinical setting 

Responsibilities: 

  • Perform diagnostic radiologic procedures to assist providers in medical diagnosis
  • Prepare patients for imaging procedures and explain exam processes
  • Position patients properly to obtain clear, accurate radiographic images
  • Maintain patient safety using proper shielding and infection control practices
  • Schedule and check in patients for radiology examinations
  • Prioritize urgent and emergency imaging requests
  • Maintain quality control procedures required by ARRT standards
  • Document procedures and patient information in the Electronic Health Record (EHR)
  • Maintain imaging logs, equipment records, and supply inventory
  • Provide BLS-level emergency response if needed
