Position Name: Travel Registered Nurse CVU

Location: Petoskey, MI 49770

Start Date: ASAP

Contract Length:13 weeks

Pay Rate: Local-$2100 & Travel-$2415 weekly

Unit: ICU, CVU

Shift: 12 Hours; Nights, 7p-7.30a or Days, 7a - 7.30p

Schedule: 36 hours / week guaranteed, 3 shifts per week, every other weekend

Position Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse: 2 years - Required
  • CVU Nursing experience: Recent/Current 1 year Required
  • EKG Comfortability - Required
  • Willing to float to other similar units - Required
  • Prior Travel Nursing experience Required

Education, License and Certification Requirements:

  • ASN or an equivalent Required
  • BSN or an equivalent Highly preferred
  • RN License for State of MI - Required
  • BLS Certifications from AHA - Required

Job Description:

  • Provide all aspects of Nursing care for patients in CVU Unit. Float to other similar units as needed.
  • Provide nursing services in CVU unit and float to other similar units as needed.
  • Uses clinical judgment skills to diagnose and treat patient responses to actual or potential health conditions.
  • Function as a critical member of the Cardiovascular Unit (CVU) which cares for over 4000 cardiology patients annually; procedures including PTCA, stents, TAVR, MitraClip and bi-ventricular pacemakers.
  • Care of patients with congestive heart failure and electrophysiology studies.
  • Collaborates with other members of the health care team to develop, implement, and evaluate an individualized written plan of care based upon a physiological, psychosocial, spiritual assessment consistent with patient/significant other's changing needs & goals
  • Participate in patient and family teaching
  • Records information concisely, accurately and completely.
  • Participates in multidisciplinary treatment planning and revises plan of care based on assessment.
