Start Date: ASAP

Employment Type: Full-time, Travel, Contract, Temporary

Contract Length:13 weeks - Accepting Travel Candidates only

Pay Rate: $2304 to $2340 Weekly

Unit: ICU

Shift: 12 Hours; Nights, 7.00p - 7.30a

Schedule: 36 hours per week guaranteed, 3 shifts per week, Mon-Fri, Every other weekend

Position Requirements:

  • Current ICU Nursing experience: 2 years - Required
  • Cerner experience: Highly preferred
  • Prior travel experience: Highly preferred

Education, License and Certification Requirements:

  • ASN - Required
  • BSN Preferred
  • RN License for State of Illinois - Required
  • BLS Certification from AHA - Required
  • ACLS Certification from AHSA Required

Job Description:

  • Responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating individualized patient care in assigned units (ICU)
  • Assesses, utilizing age-specific data, the patient's physical, and psychosocial, status in a comprehensive manner
  • Demonstrates accurate assessment skills, appropriate to the age of the patient
  • Performs ongoing assessments and completes required documentation within organizational standards
  • Performs and documents including observation, physical examination, laboratory/test results, and patient response to procedural intervention
  • Participates in the identification and clarification of patient needs, as evidenced by participation in multidisciplinary care planning, to achieve optimal patient outcomes
  • Assists other staff in the delivery of patient care, as appropriate
  • Incorporates patient teaching/discharge planning to promote optimal patient outcomes
